The Gambia Standards Bureau in collaboration with the Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agricultural Value Chain Development project (GIRAV) has signed a memorandum of understanding to develop National Standards for Maize, Horticulture and Poultry, and their related value chains.
In its quest to ensure mass adoption and implementation of these standards, the Bureau through its Technical Committee for Food and Agricultural Products had set a roadmap to develop communication materials on Maize, Rice and Groundnut Value Chain Standards.
Following the drafting of these messages, the Technical Committee, today the 1st of July 2025, met to review the draft illustrations for the communication materials, at the National Nutrition Agency Conference Hall.
Once the inputs are effected, another meeting will be held to validate the document, which be followed by countrywide sensitization of farmers and other relevant stakeholders to implement the requirements of the standards in order to enhance Agricultural Productivity
