The National Metrology Laboratory (NML) of The Gambia Standards Bureau yesterday organised an awareness training workshop for health facilities within the Greater Banjul Area. The event took place at Metzy Residence Hotel. The theme of the training workshop was: the significance of medical equipment calibration. 

The Director General of The Gambia Standards Bureau Papa Secka warmly welcomed the participants to the training. He encouraged them to take active part in the deliberations and ask as many questions as possible. " I don't want anyone to leave this premises without having your doubts been cleared" he emphasised. He later enumerated the many benefits of calibration particularly to the health sector.
DG Secka's welcoming statement was later followed by presentations on the general overview of The Gambia Standards Bureau by Amadou G Jallow, the significance of traceability in measurement by Amadou Tijan M.A Jallow and National Metrology Laboratory Services by Abdoulie F Njie.

The participants in their feedbacks, thanked TGSB for organising such an informative and educative training which according to them is directly related to their work. They promised to share the information with their respective management for a possible partnership with The Gambia Standards Bureau.
