The officials of The Gambia Standards Bureau today had a fruitful interactive sensitisation activity with the top officials of the Supreme Islamic Council of The Gambia.
The council officials were sensitised on the role of the Bureau in the Halal sector, list of halal standards developed, halal related activities that the Bureau conducted in the past as well as some achievements registered.
The two institutions also discussed at length possible areas of collaboration in the future.
In attendance was the president of the Supreme Islamic Council Alhagie Essa Darboe who praised the Bureau for promulgating the principles of islam.
