The Bureau is part of the ECOSHAM Working Group THC 9, which is a Technical Harmonization Committee at a Regional level responsible for the harmonization of standards in ECOWAS member state countries. There is a list of standards that has been approved at the regional level, and it has now reached the stage for national adoptions.
ICT (information and communication technologies) standards play an essential role in achieving interoperability of new technologies and can bring significant benefits to both industry and consumers. They help ICT markets remain open and allow consumers the widest choice of products.
